Just breath… It’s only cancer
I know the title of this post could sound insensitive but that is not my intention. Coming from a man living with AIDS, I have learned that disease is just that, dis-ease and to give “it” power is not what anyone who is experiencing a health challenge should do. I don’t want to minimize the condition called “cancer”. I just want to keep it in a respectful place.
Today, I heard “just breath” in a song, and it reminded me to do just that. So, I too/k a deep breath and started my day. You never know what your day will reveal to you but you can guarantee that something will be revealed, if you are open to recognizing it. I have leaned to call these things omens, signs or billboards. Some are so big that you can’t miss them, and some are so small that it is easy to pass them by without a thought..
Today, my former wife, Karine, told me about a friend who is battling breast cancer and she asked if I would speak to her. I said, “of course I would.” She told me that she shared my story with her and although I am, as she put it, “extreme” in my ability to commit to something fully. She wanted her to know more about me so she would understand I wasn’t just neurotic with my health and that I had truly found success in treating my condition. She said, although she might not want to fully commit to my complete way of doing things that life is too important to not want to make some changes to you diet. It might just be worth it. She is in a very aggressive stage in her cancer and is getting ready to maybe have chemotherapy or try other methods to improve her condition.
This was a… “billboard! My mission came in loud and clear and I was reminded why I started this blog. It was to help people like her. Now I know I need to step up to the plate and deliver the information that I have found useful to my recovery. It will ultimately prepare me for helping my brother Mansfield deal with his cancer.
So here we go…
First I recommend watching “You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie”

*There is also a streaming online version you can purchase.
Next I suggest reading “The pH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health” [Paperback]:http://www.amazon.com/pH-Miracle-Balance-Reclaim-Health/dp/0446556181/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1294113519&sr=1-1
Then I would ask her to try to alkalize her body as much as humanly possible. This is where it can become very challenging. We are so comfortable with our eating habits that it becomes almost impossible to give up our necessities, like coffee, or that glass of wine at dinner, but if we can just try it for three months we may be surprised at how much better we feel. Dr. Young suggests a green juice cleanse for a week if you are having serious health problem. This cleans helps to detoxify the body and also helps with food cravings but, I won’t lie, it is challenging. You will go through stages of withdrawals that may not be too comfortable at first but I promise it gets better. Like everything in life that is hard at first. She is also the mother of three young girls. I would think each pregnancy she experienced became a little easier.
These are the suggestions I would share with her and if she needs more information she can find it here.
“I see you as a healthy child of God and know that the power of God knows how to heal and restore you to perfect health… and so it is,”
“Amen”
