Newborn – Detox (for weight loss)
Alis’ plan:
The thing I want you to understand most is the body holds on fat to protect itself from acid.
For the next week we are going to detoxify your body and bring it into a more alkaline balance.
You are going to be drinking a lot of liquids and will need to use the restroom a lot more than usual.
There are three ways we release toxins. Through out sweat, feces and through our urine. Every time you use the bathroom think of fat leaving your body and it should not be too bad to need to use the bathroom all the time, because you are letting go of the acid out of your body so your body doesn’t need to hold on to the fat.
Other things to keep in mind are this is all apart of a transition into eating a new way so you can maintain a weight that you like. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you make a choice that isn’t honoring your new diet. Be patient with the process. I would like for you to commit to one month and no more and see how you feel. I know you can loose at least 15 lb. If you stick to this way of eating. Your diet will consist of a 80% alkaline diet what I am now calling “The Newborn Way”
We will take out all:
Processed food
Sugar
Complexed carbohydrates and starches (Such and grains and potatoes, etc.)
Meat & fish
Dairy
You will be eating:
Simple carbohydrates (vegetables)
A simple fruits ( lemons, limes, avocados, & grapefruit)
Green juices
And lots of water!!!
For just 30 days.
After that you can include:
Sprouted grains and legumes
Tofu
And a well balanced Vegan diet.
The beginning detox serves the purpose of ridding the body and mind of it’s cravings and bringing you into a more alkaline balance. The beginning is the most challenging time. I will try my best to make sure you are not hungry but know that this phase will pass quickly and the further away from your cravings the better the new food you will be eating will taste.
The scale may not show lb. being lost at first because you are going to be drinking a lot of water which translates to lb. too but not to worry once your body is use to being hydrated it will begin to flush out the excess liquid faster.
Now there are more ways to accumulate acid. We can create acid in our bodies through stress. So, you need to also be aware of avoiding stress and increasing activities that bring you joy. Praying is alkalizing. Listening to good uplifting music is alkalizing. Yoga and mediation is alkalizing. I know you have a lot of stress in you everyday life. I encourage you to find ways to de-stress during your day. This will also help you maintain a healthy weight.
I can recommend some things for you to do or you can have your own way be revealed.
I recommend when you are preparing your food or juice to listen to music that makes you feel good. I guaranty your whole day will feel better.
I encourage you to take at least 5 minutes every few hours to just stop what you are doing and just breath and relax, clear your mind. Don’t answer the phone or try not to think about what you need to do next. This may be hard at first but in time it will become a habit.
